“Dude. Be nice.”

This week the Counseling Office and Student Council are co-sponsoring a week long campaign aimed to get Marist students actively thinking about acts of kindness to others. October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and this week aims to focus on the positive. Additionally, this is the perfect opportunity to highlight our theme for this year – Ardent Love of Neighbor.

Throughout the week Student Council members will be giving “Dude. Be nice.” bumper stickers to students caught performing random acts of kindness. Additionally, students will be able to nominate their peers for nice actions throughout the week. On Friday, a boy and a girl at each grade level will be recognized with a “Dude. Be nice.” t-shirt, and they will have a day the following week to wear their shirt.
