Gates on Vehicle Bridge

The gates on the vehicle bridge were installed this week. This bridge and the other two pedestrian bridges are now complete. All of the gates on the bridges will remain closed and locked at this time. Even though the development of this portion of the campus is nearly complete, we are awaiting the final approval of DeKalb County before the property can be opened and used. Everyone is asked to please remain off of the property until it is officially opened in early April (we hope!).

Cable Rails on Bridges

As it was impossible to build the bridges above the flood plain, they are designed to be closed during floods. Besides the narrow profile of the bridges, cable rails are being installed so that they can break away in the unlikely event that a large object would impede the flow of flood waters.
